How to create new orders
You can process additional orders for your customers without having to store or require the customer to enter their billing, shipping address and payment card information on your website.
Instead, you can retrieve a previous authorisation in the Business Center and use the information from that order to process a new one.
New orders enable you to process a new transaction based on, but not linked to, the original transaction. You can process the order with an amount different than the original amount. The information is then added to the Related Transaction section of your original transaction.
- Find and select the Request ID of the transaction for which you want to create a new order.
- On the Details page, click the ‘More’ icon.
- Click ‘New order’.
- Click ‘Confirm’. The One-Time Payment page opens.
- Complete fields as necessary and click Submit.
Please note: expired authorizations require a new authorization and cannot be settled
How to search for a transaction
Use the Transactions page to search for transactions that have been processed (successfully or unsuccessfully) on your account or for one or more of your customers.
You can use the search toolbar to limit the results that display, and then add filters to refine which transactions are returned. The Transactions List displays details for each transaction meeting your criteria at a glance.
- In the left navigation panel, click the ‘Transaction Management’ icon.
- Click ‘Transactions’. The Transaction List appears, showing all transactions performed in the past seven days. Click the date range filter to change this range as needed.
- In the search toolbar, click ‘Add Filter’ and choose a filter category from the list.
- Enter the specific text you want to look for within the filters. You might need to select additional subcategories based on your selection. A list of transactions matching your search criteria appears.
- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to add additional filters to the search
- Once you’ve done this, click the Request ID of any transaction to view ‘The Details Page’ and ‘Available Processing Actions’.
How to reverse transaction authorisations
You can reverse an authorisation for a transaction as long as it hasn’t been settled. Reversing a transaction allows you to release the hold that the authorisation placed on the customer's funds. If the transaction is already settled, refer to ‘Void Transactions’ instead.
- Locate and select the Request ID of the transaction you want to reverse.
- On the Details page, click the ‘Reverse’ icon. If the transaction cannot be reversed, this icon does not appear.
- Click ‘Confirm’.
Please note: each issuing bank has its own rules for deciding whether a full authorisation reversal succeeds or fails. If a reversal fails, contact the issuing bank to learn whether it is possible to reverse the authorisation another way.
How to void a transaction
You can void any transaction that is settled but not yet batched. If the transaction is batched, you can credit/refund it instead.
- Locate and select the Request ID of the transaction you want to void.
- On the Details page, click the ‘Void’ icon. If the transaction cannot be voided, this icon does not appear.
- Click ‘Confirm’.
How to process a refund/credit
You can credit (refund) a transaction after it’s been settled and batched. You can credit any partial or full amount until the original amount is met.
If the transaction has not yet been batched, you can reverse or void it instead. Credits are available for credit card, eCheck, and alternate payment transactions, depending on the processor you use.
- Locate and select the Request ID of the transaction you want to void.
- On the Details page, click the ‘Credit’ icon. The credit icon continues to display as long as the transaction can be credited. When the maximum amount is reached, the icon no longer appears.
- Enter the amount of the transaction.
- Click ‘Confirm’.
