A recent update to your Spire card machine will require you to set a password.
Why do I need this password?
This password is a voice referral password that you would need if your card machine prompts you to call the authorisation centre to obtain an authorisation code. This is required if a security threat is flagged on a card payment.
How do I update it?
The password must be 5 digits. It cannot be ascending or descending numbers or the same number in a row. For example, the following passwords do not comply - 12345, 54321, 11111
Once you have keyed your new password into your card machine, press enter. You will need to repeat these steps for a second time and once you have done this, you will be taken back to the home screen and your card machine will be ready to transact.
